Just thought I would start up this blog as a place to play with blogging. I want to learn a bit more about blogging. I've heard about all the Google gadgets and want somewhere that I can play around with them
OK I've decided I'm just going to start with some pictures of birds and other wild life that visit my garden.
This is the grey shrike thrush. The Grey Shrike-thrush (Colluricincla harmonica), formerly commonly known as Grey Thrush, is one of the best-loved and most distinctive songbirds of Australasia.

I'll have to check up on you now & then. I also am thinking about blogging. Bird picture lovely.
Hi Gerry
Robyn here. I too am a 'mature' traveller. Also from Victoria - up in the hills. Am off around the world on my own and having a ball. So far I have spent a month in Vietnam, one month in (mostly NE) India and most of the last month has been spent in Turkey, Greek islands and mainland Greece. Italy next and I am interested in staying at (cheap) accomm. Am considering monasteries and was wondering how you get onto them.
Would appreciate any advice. I too prefer my own room.
Don't those thrushes have a great song?
Hope to hear from you
Cheers
